This program will take attendees through the steps of a well-managed workplace investigation from the perspectives of a former EEOC Investigator, a Lawyer, and an HR professional. It begins with the vital importance of sufficient preparation including determining when an investigation is needed and creating a plan. It is followed by thorough discussion of the elements of a solid investigation process. A poor investigation role play illustrates the where Investigations can go wrong and helps emphasize key points. The process concludes with the critical stage of closure, specifically final report documentation and follow up after the investigation. The program wraps up with a panel Q&A.

Presenters: Lisa Johnson (HR consultant), Toni Ahl (EEO expert), Laurie Kemp (Employment Attorney)
