Please join us for an exciting and thought-provoking event as Nicole Carter (Signature Healthcare), Ankur Gobal (Interapt), Dan Thomas (UPS), and Beth Davisson (The Workforce Center, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce) lead us through a discussion of how to successfully implement proven workforce solutions.

While the event will spend some time focusing on the talent gaps that were identified in the Talent Alignment Survey, you will also walk away with proven solutions shared by the panelists.  Each panel member will spend time discussing their workforce solution in a “Ted Talk” style presentation and then will engage in questions from the moderator and audience.

The panelists will:

  • Focus on areas of proven and innovative solutions to recruit, retain, and train the workforce.
  • Discuss how we can prepare the talent in the region to support the projected growth identified in the survey.
  • Discuss what community leaders should be focusing on to address talent shortages so that the HR Professional can better prepare their teams.
  • Discuss current and future workforce shortages and how you can best prepare your workforce strategies to overcome these shortages so that companies can continue to grow.

Nicole Carter, Vice President of Learning and Development at Signature HealthCARE (Panelist)

Nicole Carter is currently the Vice President of Learning and Development at Signature HealthCARE.  Signature HealthCARE is a long-term health care and rehabilitation company with 128 locations in 11 states and nearly 24,000 employees.

For the past five years as an executive at Signature, Nicole has worked to develop an innovative "Communities of Practice" model, where department heads within Signature's facilities receive a "Lifeline" whereby they have a designated expert to facilitate their best-practice sharing across other department heads within the whole organization. Nicole's team also designed a complete ecosystem of e-learning, social learning, mentorship, real-time support and in person gatherings to support department heads in their roles.  This innovative Communities of Practice model has resulted in significant reductions in turnover and decreased time to competence for new leaders.

Most recently, Nicole has been focused on recruiting and retention strategies.  From a uniquely designed internal staffing pool to nurse aide training that uses a blended, cinema-like experience, she’s committed to partnering with business leaders on learning solutions that drive results.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Nicole moved to Kentucky to attend Western Kentucky University, where she met her husband, Bryan.  They have two children, Claire and Collin.  She is currently serving as Chair of the 2017 ATD International Conference & Exposition Program Advisory Committee
